Day 55 Bad Night by Aaron’s mom

Last night was very, very difficult for Aaron. All-over, deep bone pain. The discharge doctor wasn’t familiar with Aaron and gave him 8 times less pain medication than normal, which Natalie couldn’t get corrected until this morning. Watching a loved one in pain is one of the most helpless feelings I’ve ever experienced. If that doesn’t drive one to prayer… As soon as Doctor Paquette heard, he was appalled and brought the doses up to a reasonable level.

Aaron is doing better today. He actually ate a few bites of food, so thanks for the prayers.

At the risk of sounding platitudic, here’s quote from something I read this morning: “He knows when we go into the storm, He watches over us in the storm, and He can bring us out of the storm when His purposes have been fulfilled.”

all the people surrounding aaron, interacting with the healing process, time and again go beyond what even the doctors provide. reading his ups and downs reveals just how integral every person is and how perfect God’s plan for this process is unfolding.

So sorry to hear of Aaron’s pain. You are right. It is unexplainably hard to watch a loved one in pain or so violently sick. The presence and intervention of God in all your lives is so evident. No human could endure it alone. May God continue to fill you with strength, endurance, patience, his healing power and hope.
