Bad Bloggers by Aaron’s mom
I’m so sorry we’ve failed to update this Blog. We sure intended, but none of us suspected how exhausting the transition from UCLA to Home would be. Natalie has been doing double and triple duties as wife, nurse, mom, teacher, and “move supervisor.” We have settled in for the most part. It’s so good to be among our Ojai family and friends once more.
Great news concerning Aaron: His Graft vs. Host Disease seems to be finished bothering his intestines, allowing him to gain some weight. In the last month he went from a way too light 106 lbs. to 123 lbs (still real slim but so much better!) Praise God! I’m sure happy to see him looking more like himself and less like a scarecrow.
Doctor Paquette saw Aaron a week ago and said, concerning his progress, “I’m very happy!”
Please pray that this slow recovery does not wear on Aaron’s spirits. I know he would like to get back to his “real” life. Thank you all for your continued love and support. It makes a difference.

Thanks for the update; it helps us to pray more specifically from New York…

As I was waiting for my computer to boot up, I was fervently praying for all of you. I also asked God to get us an update. Yea! God is so good. I praise him for the weight gain and the host vs graft improvements. It sounds like Dr. P is experiencing joy with your progress too. That is a good report.
Natalie, you are a wonder woman. Save some of that for yourself though. Your body needs refueling as much as Aaron’s body needs rebuilding. Oh, the crown Jesus is creating for you!
I’ll forward the information to my group on Wednesdays. It will be good to give praise for a good report and also to know how to pray.

i am with aaron! i think the hardest thing (among the host of hard things that a bmt entails) for me was the slowness of the recovery. it does wear you down. so i am praying for joy in the smaller steps (gaining weight, a good doctor’s report) and just a deeper sense of God’s presence throughout this trial, however long it takes. thank you for the update.

Thanks again for the update. It is so good to hear that Aaron is gaining weight and making forward movements in his recovery. I praise God that you are always on His mind and always in His hands!

How awesome to see so many people praying for Aaron! Great news that he has gained weight! We look forward to progress reports and are looking forward to having him back on the team. Hang in there, Aaron, Natalie, parents and kids!

Great news on Aaron’s weight gain and improvements! I will pray that God will help Aaron focus on the now and not be too much in a hurry (although I completely sympathize with him - that’s how I’d be feeling, too). Hang in there, everyone. You have lots of people praying for you.

Hi Aaron!
I’ve been hearing about this blog for quite some time through Richard Chang. I don’t know if you remember me, but I worked on financing your dad’s digital back sales for years, and then the photo bug bit me too.
Our family’s been praying for you and the entire Boydston clan (also MegaVision - what an awesome company!), and have been awed by your progress. If you don’t mind, I’d like to share your story with our church, too.
Praise God and keep getting stronger!
